Then you should recommend WOODSAFE® Exterior WFX™ which has approved suitability properties for installation in an outdoor environment, which allows the wood panel to age naturally with sun, wind and water adding their unique touch to the panel.
Is it possible to put covering paint on WOODSAFE®?
To cover the panel, you must use Woodsafe PRO™.
Our other product WOODSAFE® Exterior WFX™ is not covered, but can be delivered from premium and industry partners in an ALL-IN-ONE concept.
Is the flame retarding material toxic?
As a finished final product, i.e. the product delivered to the workplace, it is not classified as environmentally hazardous or hazardous to health. The debate on environmentally friendly fire protection is incorrectly described in the media.
Brominated flame retardants are not used for fire protection of wood, and the chemicals themselves are not suitable for consumption, but in professional use such as Woodsafe technology, our services are not regulated.
Can I use silicone-based coating on WOODSAFE®fire-resisting wood?
Not because it does not work, but it will not give the effect you want in terms of grey effect and waterproofing.
Most silicone-based products have superior properties against moisture protection and durability, therefore we advise the use of such products on Woodsafe flame retardant wood. The wooden panel will eventually become silver grey, all you have to do is wait and let Mother Earth do her job.
If panel mounting takes place near untreated panels, the grey effect will become apparent. Keep in mind that Woodsafe PRO™ is to be painted for exterior use while WOODSAFE® Exterior WFX™ is left without surface finish or stained in the factory.
What does WOODSAFE® fire protection look like?
If everything goes as it should, you will not see anything.
WOODSAFE® fire protection is non-visible impregnation, it creates no coating on the surface, and it is the board as such, which is the fire protection that is different from fire protection paint that forms a coating on the wood panel surface.
Why should i prescribe WOODSAFE®?
Of course you do not have to, the choice is free.
But think like this: Our entire assortment has verified properties by RISE, the product is CE marked and type approved, we cooperate with the world's largest player from the USA in terms of fire retardant and its development. Our factory is carbon neutral as we get electricity from our solar energy plant and heat from our biofuel plant, so we do not make negative climate footprints, we give neutral climate footprints.
